It's time to get away from the old stuffy & typical head shot background and head outdoors and bring life to those standard pictures! Head shots are great to have on hand. You never know when you might need one, weather it be used for your profile on your social media site or used for work purposes. You can never go wrong with having a nice picture of yourself.

Say Goodbye to Summer

I am very sad to see that summer has now ended. It always seems to fly by so fast, like a simple little blink and poof, Fall has announced its emerging greeting. Okay, now onto my point with the posted pictures... I was invited to a party this summer and they had these super cute kids there. Now how could I resist not sneaking a photograph or two of them. I've been wanting to share them for a while now and now is the time. The pictures remind me of when I was a kid, care free playing outdoors with all the neighbor kids, sipping on a Capri Sun and riding the swings at the park. No need for a sweater during those days, just the warmth from the sun did the trick. Hummingbirds

I finally got hummingbirds at my feeder!!! I can’t even explain to you how excited I was when I first saw a hummingbird mingle around my feeder. I had to contain my overly rambunctious excitement just so I wouldn’t scare the little hummer away. I have been trying for over a year now to entice hummers to my beautiful feeder that I received from my husband for my birthday. A YEAR I tell you!!! I would see hummers fly in and out of my yard but couldn’t figure out why they wouldn’t stop for a tasty little drink. Was it my feeder, they didn’t like the color orange, hum...anyway, they like me now!

I have about three hummers who have decided to take up residence in my yard. I have a beautiful green Rufous one who I believe is female and a smaller youngling one that I noticed today. Then there is the fab’ Ruby-throated male who is so timid and spooks easily that I haven’t been able to photograph him. I’m determined!

Happy Mid Summer!

This family is so dang darling, I just had to share them with the world. I met Blanca & Jason and their cuter then possibly can be kids at Stafford Park in Novato. Talk about a great place that is wide open to run around. The only main problem was dogging the goldmine of Canadian Geese poop everywhere. Beautiful birds but their poop, not so much. If you ever get the chance, pack a picnic basket and take a little drive to Stafford Park. Not only is this place relaxing, which is good for sole, but you are also supporting our wonderful State Parks.

Sunday - Senior Pictures

Happy Sunday! Sunday is my favorite day of the week. It's a day to kick your feet up and relax, plant flowers in the garden, catch up on the mountain high newspapers stashed in the corner hangin' with the dust bunnies, or throw the frisbee for your furry friend who has been aching to get to the park. Photographers on the other hand work the weekends. For us, well for me anyways, working on a Sunday is just like doing the above. When the weather is cooperating and I have a fabulous client to photograph, it is the best Sunday for me.
